The Union Home Mortgage Foundation is proud to recognize outstanding partners that help advance the mission of the Foundation. Each month, we highlight one partner that has made an impact on the success of the Foundation. This month’s Most Valuable Partner is Anna Katsas, a videographer on the Marketing team!

Anna has been with Union Home Mortgage for a little over two years. Anna was an intern in the summer of 2019 before joining the marketing department as a full-time partner in 2020. Originally from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Anna now loves to get outside in Cleveland to run, rollerblade, or birdwatch! Anna also loves to play her violin, spend time with her friends, and explore new places!

Q: Why do you support the UHM Foundation?

A: “I support the UHM Foundation because it allows me to make helping people and supporting my community a part of my job. I want to do as much as I can to help make the world a more equal, equitable, and just place.”

Q: How do you support the UHM Foundation?

A: “I have participated in the last two Hustle for Homeownership 5ks and am part of the Payroll Deduction program. Also, as an Advisory Board Council Member, I am tasked with organizing two volunteer events for my department each year.”

Q: What is your favorite memory of the UHM Foundation?

A: “My favorite memory of the UHM Foundation is when I filmed an interview with someone who, through the Foundation and Habitat for Humanity, was able to move into a safe, clean home with their family. Hearing their success story was so moving and reminded me why it’s crucial to support non-profits like the UHM Foundation.”

Q: How else are you involved in your community?

A: “I am very passionate about environmental justice and try to support local organizations when I can. Environmental Health Watch, based in Cleveland, is a great organization to check out. There is an impactful documentary on their homepage called, “The Poison in our Walls”, that I recommend watching, especially if you live in the Cleveland area. You can watch it by clicking on this link and scrolling to the bottom of the page: https://www.ehw.org/

Thank you, Anna, for your continued support of the Union Home Mortgage Foundation. We would not be able to complete our work without dedicated partners like you!
