In an ongoing effort to support and improve local communities, the Union Home Mortgage Foundation is giving back by donating $5,000 to the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based nonprofit Home Repair Services of Kent County.
Grand Rapids, MI – August 3, 2022 – In an ongoing effort to support and improve local communities, the Union Home Mortgage Foundation is giving back by donating $5,000 to the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based nonprofit Home Repair Services of Kent County.
Home Repair Services of Kent County provides foreclosure intervention counseling and financial education to struggling homeowners. These clients are paired with a counselor who completes a full assessment of mortgage delinquency, conducts an extensive budget analysis, discusses the available options, and assists with any desired negotiations. Financial education workshops are taught by staff, partners and community experts to help families financially prepare for housing emergencies. At Home Repair Services of Kent County, clients receive support and education throughout the entire process, giving them an opportunity for sustainable homeownership.
